At the beginning of the design, for the new model of the “mechanical city track” series, it determined that based on expanding a specific playing method, we should retain the complex mechanical structure of the series, which can act as a tabletop ornament in the process of its static display, so that it can demonstrate the unique industrial property of the trackball itself in. Meanwhile, the first mock exam of the “track of the mechanical city” is to create new ideas for track structure, play experience, and materials to enhance public understanding of “Marble Run” model toys and publicize the aesthetic feeling of industrial order displayed by complex mechanical combinations.
This “night city” takes “future technology” as the creative source and orbital ball as the carrier to show the rigid mechanical structure to the public and feel the order pleasure of steel ball rolling. This product adopts a wood grain dip dyeing process and metal screen printing technology to dye the wood board with high-grade gray-black while retaining the original wood grain, giving it metal texture and an overall profound future style. High permeability acrylic materials are innovatively added to achieve the “suspended” track effect to show more transparent expressiveness. In terms of playing method, the traditional mortise and tenon technology and gear transmission combination are adopted so that the trackball can operate without power. More tracks are added so players can stimulate brainstorming, feel the precision engineering structure, and experience pure mechanical beauty.
